I've had this set of bookends for a couple of months now. I was disappointed it came with some rust on it (which I was forewarned about from other reviews) and I held off writing my thoughts until I could see if it rusted more. It hasn't and the small amount of rust on it just adds to its character and makes it look vintage. It should come off with a bit of coconut oil, but I haven't been bothered enough to try yet.
What I like most about these are the heft. You wouldn't think it would be so difficult to find bookends heavy enough to actually, you know, hold up books, but it seems most on the market are more decorative than useful. Right now, I'm using this to create a display of several hardback books. It all stands on its own, no need for an actual bookshelf and no flopping over.

It is very heavy since it is made out of heavy iron.
It comes in a two-part set= one part is the arrow head, and the other part is the arrow tail/
The set is RUSTIC-LOOKING, made of heavy metal in a brownish-black color with the edges sort of rustic looking---made to look sort of "old".
This set looks great on our rustic-looking shelf, and since it is so heavy, the books stand up perfectly in the middle!

These are awesome! I'm seriously obsessed with these bookends!!! They are heavy and sturdy, super good quality, and absolutely adorable! But also rustic.... My husband loves them! Definitely great value for the price. I'll be looking for more spots in the house to put more :)
These are fantastic! The "orange rust " is NOT rust, it's a rustic, antiquing look purposely made that way. It really adds to these bookends. Holds all my books securely on the shelf. The item weight stated on their website is for each piece. Total weight is over 5 pounds. Excellent product. Looks fantastic!
Sturdy and does its job. You would think that a bookend wouldn't be something you would need to worry about doing what it is meant to do, but a lot of them can be light weight and move or fall when the books are set between them. This one is holding up recipe books in my kitchen and is heavy enough to keep them where I want them.

Despite the great packaging, one of the bookends still came slightly bent. It looks great though, only a little bit noticeable
I bought these as a gift for my dad. I was a little concerned they might be too light, and more for show than actually functional. But they have a nice weight to them, and he's using them to prop up a good number of books! He loves them and is getting great use out of them. Can't beat that!

I really liked the look and quality of this bookend. The reason it gets 4 instead of 5 is because of the amount of rust on it already. There was a previous picture that was pretty similar to my product.
