Truth be told, I originally came here to buy the Anker Astro E1 Candy-Bar Sized version as we prepare for a trip to Walk Disney World (it's what all the blogs told us was best). However, for about ten bucks more I realized that I could get this one with higher capacity. We'll have 3 iPhones with us during the trip, so this one actually seemed to make more sense.
Out of the box, it took about 7-8 hours to fully charge (battery meter lights will turn off when full) using the Micro USB. I'm thinking that USB C might charge a little faster, then again both ports could be 2 Amps. There are warnings not to use both the micro USB and USB C at the same time to charge, which begs the question why they didn't take this new product and just make it one or the other. It's about three ounces heavier than the candy bar and certainly bigger though flatter. In fact, when in your hand it's shaped almost identical in size and weight to my iPhone 6s (with Apple case). I found that the regular USB port was a little snug, but that's a good thing (I think).
Like others have pointed out, the USB C would be nice if it could go both ways (it is an input that charges the battery but not output to your device). It's got a funky texture (good way) on one wide with the Anker logo and flat dull finish on the other. Being shaped just like an iPhone 6, it helps us make use of the Anker IPX8 Waterproof Phone Pouch for rides like Splash Mountain or Kali River Rapids. It fits perfectly inside.
Trickle-Charge is as simple as pressing the button twice (or hold for two seconds) and the fourth light will turn green. When you're ready to switch back, you just tap it again. Pretty simple. Turning the charger itself on is even easier -- Just plug in your cable and the lights turn on and it charges. Unplug your device, the lights go off. No more worrying about if you left it on or off!
It's new, so we'll see how it holds up, but Anker does offer a great 18-month warranty. I've replaced a few screen shields under their warranty in the past for iPhone and iPad and they have one of the best customer service teams around if and/or whenever an issue does arrive.
I do wish that it had come with a genuine Anker Lightning or USB C cable of short length (12-18 inches) for charging phones. Otherwise, it seems to be pretty solid so far.
UPDATE: After a few days of use, it lives up to the challenge. The only concern that I ran into is when I was charging my iPad Air 2. Both ends of my cable became extremely warm to the touch, and even part of the battery did, too. I don't think I'd leave anything bigger than an iPad Mini plugged into it without supervision. None of my iPhones (or AirPods) seemed to heat up using the same exact cable.
I will keep this nice and short. Everyone has their own reasons for a portable battery ie. work, school, trips, vacation, camping etc. This is over all an excellent product and depending on how big your phone batteries (google your phones battery size), take the total mAh of your battery and divide it into 10,000 mAh and it will give you rough # of charges.
For example, Iphone X battery is 2,691 mAH, and 10,000/2691 = 3.71. This is the number of times it can charge my phone. Overall its great to have for on the go or just throw in your wife's purse and use it when you need it.
Pro's:
- Excellent solid product (Love Anker)
- 18-month warranty (I have used them before for a wire replacement and they are awesome)
- Nice light indicators to notify you status of battery
Con's:
- none I can think of, most people will complain that it only charges your device this many times but thats given. If you need a bigger battery get one.
Overall, don't over think it. Once you go Anker you wont go back.
I didn’t get to choose the cord when buying it like the product info says...I have an Apple iphone and the cord that came with it is for android. I tried just contacting the seller but that was not an option so now I just have to return the whole thing? This is dumb and frustrating. I guess I missed something..?
Edit: I changed this from 1 star to 4 because the product is good and the seller fixed the problem. I bought this to go with a backpack that supports a charger for your phone. I went traveling for a month and while it is not the sellers fault that I ordered the product too close to my departure to be able to return something if I needed to, I was not given the options I should’ve been. I took the charger anyway and while it warns against using anything but the cords that come with it I took my iPhone usb cord to use with it. It worked fine. Then when I got back a month later (a week ago) and there was a package for me with the appropriate cord to go with the charger. I’m not excited that I couldn’t just contact the seller about this but I am very glad that they gave me the correct cord. I didn’t pay anything extra so it was a nice surprise. I also love being able to charge my phone anywhere anytime since I work remotely often. The product itself is great and lasts me 3 days without having to recharge it. So buy this and hopefully you can find where to specify what cord you need!
The PowerCore Lite 10000mAh Power Bank is the perfect one to bring along with you whenever and wherever you go to; if you need to charge your device. Power Bank user nowadays seeks for an affordable Power Bank that could charge up minimum of twice. It is also preferred being portable around the user. When choosing your perfect Power Bank to go with, three factors should be evaluated before the purchase is made. These considerations include the efficiency, portability, as well as the price and quality of the Power Bank.
Efficiency
Capacity, the absolute purpose of the Power Bank should be one of the benefits provided to consumer. The PowerCore 10000mAh Lite Power Bank allows you to charge your devices multiple times depending on the device itself. Either an Android or OS phone user, the Power Bank is able to charge your phone on average of three times. Similarly, you could charge your tablet with it an average of 1.3 times. On the other hand, you can recharge the Power Bank with two types of cable, which includes the Micro-USB and Type-C. With such flexibility, you can recharge your Power Bank now with one another.
Not only that, the Power Bank delivers you another benefit. With such high capacity, it would recharge your device’s battery within a short period of time with its fast charging function. For instance, all devices such as your phone and tablet, requires only less than an hour and a half to get fully charged.
Portability
A Power Bank with portability would be beneficial towards their consumer. The PowerCore Liter Power Bank generates 10000 milli-ampere-hours from a slim charger, which weight approximately 211 grams. This is like carrying a baseball along with you while charging your device. Besides that, the curvy edge of the surrounding of the charger is designed to ease your discomfort whenever you carry it around with you.
Price & Quality
Of course, making sure the Power Bank is secure to be used by you is always the top priority for the vendor. The PowerCore Lite 10000mAh Power Bank is designed to ensure safety for you and your devices with its premium battery and MutiProtect technology storage. Not forgetting its price, it is affordable to purchase this Power Bank at just $33.99 along with a Micro-USB and a travel pouch. Leaving the best for last, the purchase comes with a free eighteen-month warranty by Anker themselves.
To wrap things up, the PowerCore Lite 10000mAh Power Bank would be handy for one who spend most of the time on his or her devices. With so many benefits listed above, you can now bring your portable charger everywhere at any time. However, a drawback the Power Bank might throw to you is not having the options of different color. Yet, this drawback is not much of a concern to me. If you are looking for one right now, say no more to this one.
I have only had this a couple days but the size of the battery pack compliments the size of my cell phone - Samsung Note 5. It is also light weight. I originally had a less powerful heavier Samsung battery pack and this one is much lighter and easier to carry. It isn't as bulky as the Samsung battery pack. I have had several Anker battery packs but this one is the best in size and weight to carry with the phone. I highly recommend it!

Takes a while to fully charge but once charged lasts forever! Husband uses it for his iPhone 6s+ and he's only used it all up once since purchasing it over a month ago. He takes it with him everywhere and also uses it to charge his wireless headphones and his portable speaker. He's out all day almost everyday and never has to worry about any of his things dying anymore, super lightweight and slips in his pockets without any hassle
I've only had this specific charger for a couple weeks but, it works perfectly as advertised. I got it as a second power bank for my older Anker charger which works great even after a year of regular use. This will also charge your Nintendo Switch if you have one!
I'm able to charge my Note 8 phone 8 times with this charger. AMAZING. My only issue I had is that it did not come with the carry case pouch like it promised. Can you please send me the carry case for it pkease.
Smaller and lighter than I envisioned, it charges my phone really fast. Good idea to have a good, fast cable such as those Anker sells that are QuickCharge 3.0 capable, or USB 3.1 Gen 2 certified. The price is great for this awesome charger. It does not come with a USB-A to USB-C cable. But, I'd rather buy my own cable to make sure it will be the fastest and safest possible. I wish there was a short (1 ft or shorter) high speed Anker cable, so I could charge with this charger and my phone in my pocket at the same time. But, I ordered a 3-ft Anker cable, which should be fine.
I want to like this.
