Microsoft Office 365 Personal | 1-year subscription, 1 user, PC/Mac Key Card

As opposed to some of the other reviews I've seen on this product, my code worked as advertised and I knew going in that this is something that has to be renewed after a year. I am replacing Office 2007 and while this isn't a major improvement (how much can you really improve a well-established word processor, spreadsheet, etc.?) it is easier to navigate once you get used to it, and the 1 TB of OneDrive cloud storage that comes with the subscription is nice. This product arrived on-time and as expected.

It's a necessary evil. I wish I could write an in depth review on the qualities of Office 365 and compare it to other competitive office suites but there's no competition. There's perfectly good (if not great) open source solutions that on their own perform splendidly, the problem arises when you have to work back and forth with each. I'm tech literate and fully capable of "saving as" an MS compatible format but not everyone is *cough *cough. This suite is perfect for the person who isn't tech savvy enough to use an alternative suite OR someone who can't be bothered with the hassle of having to go between.

The subscription was delivered quickly, activated properly, and all is well in the land of Luddites.

Office 365 for the Mac is really pretty good and I've experienced none of the crashes described by others. I use a Windows 10 desktop PC with Office 2013 and MacBook Pro running OS 10.11.3 with Office 365. By far (by far) my biggest compliant about MS Office is, apparently without a third party application, there doesn't seem to be any way to synchronize Outlook between your desktop and your laptop. I have finally determined a way to forward calendar and contract information from my desktop and incorporate data into Outlook on my laptop but it is strictly a manual operation for each and every entry. Automatic synchronization is clearly not a Microsoft priority and I say that as a MS fan. A Microsoft/Mac Guru might counter this observation but after rather extensive searches online there seems to be no straight forward easy method of achieving this so I've fallen back on manual methods of forwarding vcf contact and ics calendar files from my desktop to my laptop and then dragging and dropping them into Outlook. Its grubby but it does work however it should be done automatically and seamlessly.

MS Office is pretty much the global standard for word processing. Yay.

When I made the conversion from typewriters to word processors, I began with WordStar (look it up, kids), which seemed alien and annoying to me. Then, I discovered WordPerfect, which was a revelation. However, when I purchased my first laptop, MS Word came pre-loaded and my finances were so exhausted by the laptop purchase, that I didn't have the money to get WordPerfect, so I switched.

It's been a bumpy 17 years since then. However, Microsoft has since dominated the space. Like almost every Microsoft product, even if you use its programs within its own ecosystem, Word will often force you to fight with it to get your documents formatted the way you want, change or completely eliminate things without notice and now in our modern times, will keep dunning you to add things you don't want, even if it compromises the security of your system.

I HATE Microsoft and the Office suite, but with Publisher and PowerPoint being essential to my work, I'm stuck. Oh, and it's not my hardware that's the issue; I have an i7 with 16GB of RAM on WinX.

P's me off that I have to buy this yearly.

Description

Office 365 comes fully loaded with the latest and greatest versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook and more, downloaded directly to your favorite devices. You can keep working even if you are not online. All the tools you know and love, now built for even greater productivity and collaboration.

I did have to call microsoft tech support to get it all working. They attempt to sell you upgrade at that point. She also said this will only work with 1 PC and 1 tablet. So if your on the fence, take the free 30 day trial. 365 only has one issue. You will have to upgrade older doc files. You need to covert using ms on pc. Otherwise GUI is the best compared to competitors. I was using DocsToGo andriod app which is harder to use. Got this Personal version for $20 from one of the amazon sellers.

I was paying $6.99 a month for Microsoft Office 365 because I was afraid my computer would go kaput and didn't want to waste my money on anything longterm. After a year, I decided to go ahead and buy the Office for a year and save money. I love Microsoft Office because it is easy to use and compatible on other computers. It has lots of things I don't know how to use but for what I need, I can still do a lot. I would recommend this to others.

I recently upgraded from Microsoft Office 2007. While I don't like Microsoft moving towards a completely subscription based software suite, Office 365 is pretty awesome. I especially like the 1 TB OneDrive cloud storage that come for free with the personal subscription.

I have been fight off this upgrade, why I don't know other than I missed the ability to buy program disks at the store. Now with this it has auto updates, monthly or annual cost. But you what? It's worth it, I am still learning the upgrades but it is already paying off as my PP presentations have received great reviews from customers!

It's strange but it costs a bit less to buy the card, have them mail the card to you then it does to buy the subscription directly from Microsoft website. Office 365 is the cheapest way to get online storage and for many years I used LibreOffice/OpenOffice but Microsoft has so improved their products that I decided the switch made sense because I was a lot more productive and they've really given thought to how things are laid out and I think it's a lot better than the free software. So that combined with the online storage make it a no-brainer for me. For a modest amount more you can get the family version which I think has 4x the amount of storage and allows installation on multiple computers.
